Here are the nominees for The Big Squeeze Awards 2021
Once again this year, networking organization Startups.be | Scale-Ups.eu will provide a virtual hotspot, The Big Squeeze, where Belgian startups can go for advice, guidance, and networking opportunities. As a yearly tradition, The Big Squeeze Awards will be presented to the most impressive startups and scale-ups. An expert jury, led by Omar Mohout, selected 20 startups and scale-ups that will compete against each other to take home an award. Starting today, the public can cast their votes in the four different categories: student startup, startup, scale-up and disruptive innovation.

The jury, consisting of Koen De Waele (Venture Partner Volta Ventures), Thibaut Claes (Investment Manager Digital Wallonia), Els Bellens (Editor Data News) and Slim Sediri (Business Coach WSL), - all experts in the broad startup field - came prepared to the nomination meeting and brought their own wish list. In addition, this year, for the first time, startups could apply to be nominated. And that was not unjustified, five of them could count on a first nomination.
Remarkably, many are active in the care and welfare sector. IntelliProve, for example, has been nominated in the 'Student Startup' category; the application enables medical staff to measure vital parameters within 30 seconds. Startup Moonbird, on the other hand, belongs to the 'Disruptive Innovation' category with their tool to help people breathe better. The public can vote for their favorite starting today, through April 30. The winners will be announced at The Big Sqeeze Awards ceremony, as the evening program of the event on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.

The Big Squeeze: 30 top experts with golden advice for startups
Startups.be | Scale-Ups.eu puts saving time by meeting the right people right away at the heart of its projects, with The Big Squeeze as its knowledge centre for rapid startup growth. Startups often have to fight their way through a tangle of information, negotiations, and all kinds of challenges for which they lack experience or a sounding board.
The Big Squeeze will meet that with 30 top experts from various fields, such as financing and internationalization, recruitment and product development who will share tips, pitfalls and experiences during interactive sessions. In addition, accelerators, incubators and service providers will also be present to present the right guidance and resources. Startups can listen to Jennifer Gardner (Head of People Deliverect), Wouter Foulon (Founder Comate), Laurent Marcelis (CFO Unified Post) and Frank Maene (Managing Partner Volta Ventures), among others. Between sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with the experts and peers via one-on-one video calls, for an even more personalized approach and advice.
